Orrin Hatch Wants His Stone Age Back
Something new to write your congresscritters about. Next week, a bill called the Induce Act will be introduced to congress. From cNet News.com:
Also, another good article about it on ArsTechnica.

Well, it looks like the group I was with for the 48hr Film Project last year is going to be featured on NPR this weekend! Phil Harrell from NPR followed them around during this year’s 48 (of which I wasn’t a part, due to an unforseen work overnighter the day before), and this Sunday on Weekend edition, there’s going to be an epic 14-minute piece on The Fuzz—- That’s longer than the finished film!
To tie everything in, an official Fuzz website has been launched for the occasion. It’s great—- It’s like the Weekly World News, but instead of Batboy, it’s about us!
As I’m sure you’re aware, I’ve oft wondered aloud (thanks to reminders from Jen) where my flying car / jetpack / 2-way wrist radio is… Well, I’ve just found out where all the cool stuff has got to:
I’ve added two new bits to the site. The first, you’ll see in the bar to the right, a new section entitled “For Sale,” which will include links to items I have for same on Amazon Marketplace, Half.com or eBay. The second is also on the right under “Navigation” a new link to my DVD collection, which will be updated with some better navigation shortly. I’ve exported the current pages out of DVDpedia, which I now use to keep track of my collection. If you run Mac OS X and have a large movie collection, I’d encourage you to check it out.
I just heard that my friend Mark Darin’s latest adventure game, A Case of the Crabs, has been reviewed in the New York Times (free registration required). Check it out— for the curious, I’m the voice of Arthur and The Thug. Whooooo!
A great article the Evil Schmoo shared with me a few weeks ago, comparing different MPEG-2 encoders. I’ve been using BitVice, which came up #3 in the ranking, but I may have to get a PC and check into the winner, Cinema Craft Encoder, if I start getting more DVD work. It looks like it’s the shit.
Very cool article on why design helps BMW keep their position in the market.
