  • F#@K YEAH!!!

I’m uh… really pleased that iTunes 7.6 has added my most requested feature of all time: 1, 3, 5, or 10 least recent selections for syncing podcasts and TV shows. Huzzah! Now I can finally listen/watch in order instead of being forced to find an inventive, yet annoying, work-around to being forced to sync only the latest episodes (which in many of my podcast subcriptions, may build upon material that was in an older show).

This wasn’t such a huge deal when I carried an 80 GB iPod around all the time, but now that I have 1/10th the space on my iPhone, it makes all the difference in the world. Thanks, Apple!

  • Writers’ Strike – Best Thing Ever?

    From the Make Blog:

Hear, hear. Even though I actually work in television, we dropped our cable TV subscription mid-last year. I weighed the possibility for a while— sure I got some inspiration for other work I saw on the tube, and I got to see the shows I had worked on finally be […]

  • apple-touch-icon

This website, like all of my sites now, has an Webclip Bookmark Icon. That means that if you use the webclip feature of an iPhone or an iPod Touch to “Add to Home Screen”, you get a nice little icon in your home screen instead of just a miniature screenshot of the site itself.

    How […]

  • Markdown on Tumblr

Not sure when they added it (seems like just today), but [Tumblr](http://www.tumblr.com/) has just added Markdown support for posts. Huzzah! My [Rathole](http://rathole.tumblr.com/) tumblog is hosted by Tumbler, and this is just one more reason to love ’em.

What’s a “tumblog,” you say? Check out the grandaddy of them all, [project.ioni.st](http://project.ioni.st).

  • Not quite as extreme as I’d hoped.

This morning, my [AirPort Extreme Base Station with Gigabit Ethernet (802.11n)][apbs] started crapping out on me. At first, I thought it was just a one-time glitch, and I cycled the power. Within a few minutes, however, it was frozen again.
