Xmas

A lot has happened in the last few days. I didn't mention it earlier, but on Xmas Eve, I got a new car! It's a '95 Saturn SL2, another manual transmission. I love it, but my wife's going to need some more practice. Merry Xmas to me!

Yesterday, we opened presents. My wife got me Pirates of the Caribbean and Alton Brown's Gear for Your Kitchen, which I'm very excited about. Now I know what to get with the Target gift certificates that came from my parents and Nana. (First order of business: A new toaster oven.) I'm also very excited about the stick blender my uncle and aunt got us. I was wishing for one of those back at Thanksgiving when I was making AB's cranberry dipping sauce.

And today, now that I have a car again, I'm going to see my old friend AAl and his lovely wife, before they leave on their week-long trip to sunny southern California, the bastards. I mean-- Yay for them!! Woo! 😀
