Your Message Needs to be Under 200 Characters

Posted on 2006-03-25 by Mark Boszko
This post was published more than a few years ago (on 2006-03-25) and may contain inaccurate technical information, outmoded thoughts, or cringe takes. Proceed at your own risk.

So, if you have a "feedback" text field in a web form that you'd like to limit to a certain number of characters, but you neither provide any warning whatsoever nor implement some sort of tech solution to automatically limit things, don't you think just maybe that will piss off someone who's just written a a very nice letter of thanks to you, but with 300 too many characters?
