Apple releases Shake 4.1 – Price drop and Universal Binary

"Apple [yester]day delivered Shake 4.1, the first Universal version of its industry leading compositing software and cut its price from $2,999 to $499 to fit almost any production's budget."

Not included in the Apple announcement was the rumor (possibly now confirmed by ex-members of the Shake programming team) that this will be the last major release of Shake, which will be replaced by another yet-to-be-named professional level compositing tool in 2008.
