Next week I go back to work, and I’ve gotten rid of a ton of stuff that I could just throw away, and made it through most of my backlog of “non-critical” snail mail. Things aren’t perfectly the way I want them yet, but getting closer. Now I’m trying to work out a plan for keeping them that way. http://unclutterer.com has become a daily resource, and I’m skimming 30 Days to a Simpler Life and Scaling Down : Living Large in a Smaller Space, both of which have good ideas. I also really like Cindy Glovinsky’s Making Peace with the Things in Your Life: Why Your Papers, Books, Clothes, and Other Possessions Keep Overwhelming You and What to Do About It and One Thing at a Time: 100 Simple Ways to Live Clutter-Free Every Day. I’ve got a huge pile of stuff on the dining room table that are going to go outside next Saturday for a yard sale… Boy, it sure feels good to get rid of all this crap.
Almost back to work
