Well, I’ve figured out how to make category icons to appear next to my post titles, but I’m still working on making them appear in the category list in the right-hand menu. In any case, I’m having a lot of fun figuring out this database-driven stuff. 😀

The very cool software VideoLAN was made for streaming MPEG over networks, but it turns out It’s also rather handy for playback of MPEG video from DVDs and VCDs� which is especially handy if you ever wanted to do an easy screen capture from a DVD.

So to recap: iPhoto, new 14″ iBooks, and new iMacs. Sorta like the iPod– doesn’t look like much at first, but an all-in-one movie studio for under $1800, that’s really quite awesome. Still, no sexbots. Bad Apple!

Well, 2 o’clock, and Apple’s satellite time apparently ran out, in favor of someone broadcasting color bars and jazz from a local radio station. Sure, the jazz is nice, but it’s not the news B-roll (product pictures and interviews) that they were promising before the show.
