  • 4th

    I’m stuck inside tonight, and I can hear fireworks right now. I’m depressed for a number of reasons at the moment, one of which being I find myself wishing I could see them. I’ve seen fireworks in some form or another each July 4th for as long as I can remember. I had almost given up finding a webcam or something, when I found this great image on the National Park Service site, which brightened my evening. 🙂

  • Podcasting

    I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a podcast with some colleagues to talk about tip and tricks in a particular video editing app (and another, reviewing older movies with a film-school educated pal of mine), and now that Apple has added native podcast support to iTunes, it seems there’s no time like the present to get things started.

  • Butterfly Photo, Part Deux

    So, I may be changing my tune on these guys. I was called on Monday, and talked to someone who said it would arrive Friday, and was that okay? Sure, I said. Then I got another call on Tuesday saying it was going out, and when asked if it would still arrive Friday, got a stammered answer, eventually in the affirmative. Now on the day before this is supposed to be delivered, I finally get an email that it is shipping, with a tracking number that’s not yet in the FedEx database, which indicates to me that maybe it hasn’t even left their warehouse yet.

    I really wanted to have it for this weekend– that’s the whole reason I ordered it a WEEK ago. :-/
