  • Egg Nog Review

Well, okey, maybe this isn’t technically a “rant,” but it’s not a book, movie or music review either. Maybe I need to need to create a catch-all category just called “reviews.” One more thing to add to the redesign menu. But anyway, without further adoo (adieu?)…

Certainly, I’m a little late, but as of the […]

  • Obituary from hackedtobits.com

    September 21, 2062 — SUKKERTOPPEN, Greenland

Director and cinematographer Mark “Bob” Boszko was killed today in a boating accident off the west coast of Greenland. Authorities say that he and members of his boating crew, who were shooting a documentary, had been capsized into the water by the wake of a Pan Am jetwaver, which […]

  • Wooooo!

Finally, got the server back up, this time with Mac OS X, just the plain ol’ user version, instead of the Server edition. So, now I’m actually running my sites on software I legally own. Huzzah!

  • Attack of the Clones: The IMAX Experience

Last night, Joel and I went to see Star Wars: Episode II at the IMAX theatre in the Museum of Natural History. Lucas apparently thought it might be a good idea to chop out a whole bunch of the movie, and blow it up onto a huge 7-story screen. The results are, I think, mixed. […]

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Wow, director Chris Columbus, screenwriter Steven Kloves and composer William Ross really knocked another one out of the park with this one!

Er… or, rather… not. And who the hell is William Ross? All I can say is, it’s probably a good way to kill your composing career to take on a well-liked previous score […]

  • The Accidental Buddhist

I often browse through AAlgar’s bookshelves, looking for something to abscond with and (hopefully) keep in a safe haven in my otherwise messy den until its eventual return. I borrowed this particular tome from AAl, who started out on this Buddhist discovery trip several years ago.

This book by Dinty Moore (how can you go […]
