  • Haiku Review

I realize I’ve been seriously slacking lately in my media reviews, the main reason being that it just takes so damn long to write a half-decent review, and there’s so many other things I’d rather be doing like, for instance, sleeping. I would, though, like to continue to express my thoughts on the movies, music […]

Went out with AAl last night to help him pick out some home theatre components, and found a new soft drink from the makers of 7•up. That may actually become my caffeinated beverage of choice. 😀

  • Woot!

Well, back from the demo session. I prepped all afternoon, and I was still a little nervous to start, but then aside from a few dead spots where I tried to re-find my place in my notes, things went remarkably well. 😀 I got lots of thanks for the presentation, and a few oohs and ahhs during as well, so that was pleasantly gratifying!

  • Final Cut Excess

I’m doing a demo of Final Cut Express tonight, and doing a compare-and-contrast with iMovie. I’m a little nervous, seeing as how I’ve not actually used FCE yet, and I know next to nothing about iMovie. Guess I’ve got a busy afternoon ahead of me. 😛

  • (Partial) Restoration

Dropped by the police station this afternoon, and was able to pick up a few things. [Original photo gallery now offline —Ed. 2015-08-22] No winter jacket — I’ll have to talk to the arresting officer about that again tonight, and no bungees still, seeing as how they weren’t recovered. Oh well. At least I got my tunes back. 🙂

  • San Jose, Days Two through Five

After all that, finally back to the San Jose story from last week. My apologies for the lack of detail, as my memories fade…

Tuesday morning, I registered for the sessions pretty easily, and went in to a large ballroom that was set up with tables and chair for… I’d guess probably about 250 people. […]

  • Safelite AutoGlass

These guys deserve a mention— after the whole burglary thing, I called up GEICO and they set me up with Safelite AutoGlass repair service, who came out this afternoon to my workplace, and replaced the broken window in my car. Not only was it cool that I could watch them work from the comfort of a warm building and an AirPort connection, but the guy who replaced the glass also cleaned up all of the broken glass in the car, whether that be inside the door frame, or all the way in the back seat floor, where some of the shards scattered during the break-in. That, to me, was really exemplary service, and I applaud them for a job very well done. BRAVO!
