  • Saturn in Alignment with Paul Hogan

Well, looks like I’ve got a buyer for the Saturn (our friendly neighborhood Airborne Express-Man). He and his brother (who is, apparently, a Honda mechanic) hame by this afternoon, looked it over, took it for a spin around the parking lot, and said they’d be back for it tomorrow afternoon. And, now that I’ve spent the remainder of the day searching for (and finding!) the title for the little beast, looks like everything’s a go.

What will I be driving now, you ask? Well, I’m finally taking over the car I “inherited” from my great uncle late last year: a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback. This one’s an automatic (the Saturn was a 5-speed manual), so even my wife can drive it! Huzzah!

  • Thirties

I heard this morning on WTOP that a study announced that both geniuses and criminals do their best work in their 30s, and both mainly to impress the opposite sex. So, it’s comforting to know that my best days are ahead of me, but it begs the question— what about Criminal Geniuses? MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAAAA!!

It also begs the question, how come all of the cool little throwaway stories I hear on WTOP never seem to show up on their website?

UPDATE: I found what I think is the original article [link now hopelessly broken —Ed. 2015-08-14] on an Australian news site. It’s not as comforting as I might have hoped… Apparently when I got married, my genius got turned off "like a tap." Well… bugger.

  • The Don-it

So, now I know the reason for the donut… I foolishly tried to rotate my tires this Sunday— including the spare, as I can’t afford to get the one tire replaced yet, let alone all four, which is what really needs to be done.

Anyway, last night and this morning I noticed that whenever I […]
